The following post is on behalf of Asylum Justice Cardiff, and originally posted by WalesOnline;

An emergency appeal is being launched by a Cardiff charity which provides legal aid to asylum seekers living in South Wales.

Asylum Justice provides services to people living in Cardiff, Newport and Swansea who in danger of returning to their country of birth and facing war zones, torture or death.

The charity is at the “coalface” of fighting for justice for some of the most vulnerable people living in Wales, including helping to reunite families torn apart by war and providing support to unaccompanied children seeking safety.

Clients of the charity range from countries including Afghanistan, Irqz, Syria and Zimbabwe.

The charity is launching its fundraising drive at Waterloo Tea in Cardiff on Wednesday, May 25, where it is hoping to drum up some report for the crucial services it provides.

Asylum Justice has also been included in the Waitrose Community Matters Scheme for this month (May), so shoppers can choose to support their appeal using their green tokens.
